Dictionary Definitions
- n., 1. Includes any operation involving two or more broadcasting undertakings where control over all or any party of the programs or program schedules of any of the broadcasting undertakings is delegated to a network operator. 2. A network as defined in the Broadcasting Act, but does not include a temporary network operation as defined in that Act.
- n., A hardware and software data communication system. Networks are often also classified according to their geographical extent: local area network (LAN), metropolitan area network (MAN), wide area network (WAN) and also according to the protocols used.
